UK Seafreight Project Manager
£35K + CAR / CAR ALLOWANCE
Based in the South East, as a member of a dynamic and busy team responsible operational system support, training, data quality and productivity you will cover projects associated with operational and data processing requirements throughout the UK associated with such. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and technical management of appropriate systems and procedures associated with optimisation and operational redesign. You will assume the responsibility for internal conceptual and detailed process engineering design and the appraisal. At a senior level you will be expected to deliver such projects to time, with accuracy with ability to supervise and coach, manage the change with operational members and training staff. The post will cover sites across the UK and as such the applicant is required to spend some nights away. The project includes some working in other UK domestic offices and some oversea travel to European offices.
Experience / Qualifications for applicants: Experience of Forwarding Operational Procedure, and process modelling; Project management experience; Experience in operational freight forwarding; Analytical capability, systematically thinking, Able to design and formulate processes; Experience in change management; Excellent communication skills; Leadership skills; Persuasion power; Ability to self-motivate and motivate others; Ability to work individually and also as a part of a team; Full driving licence; Willing to travel within the UK and North West Europe Region.
