My Client is looking for a dynamic junior designer to join their in-house design team for a 6-month position (with the potential of a 2-3 month extension) and an option to be Perm.

Working as part of the Design department you will be responsible for creating eye-catching and jaw-dropping visual concepts for presentation to clients and agencies.

We are looking for a designer with excellent software skills who can communicate visual concepts in a strong manner. You will be working on exciting Sales & Marketing graphics projects in a fast paced environment.

• The position is suitable to designers who are able to work in a sales driven environment and understands the particular qualities necessary for success.
• Candidates should also have the ability to bring ideas and research to the table for brainstorming sessions.

Key design skills

• The majority of your work will be conceived in Photoshop and Illustrator, so creative abilities in theses package are vital. The ability to turn around photorealistic visuals in a short time frame is essential to the role.
• With PowerPoint for presentational support, you will be able to deliver to the client a complete professionally designed presentation with custom created background slides.
• You will have working knowledge in print design in either Quark Xpress or In-design.
• Skills in motion graphics and editing packages such as After Effects and Final Cut Pro would be beneficial.

Key personal skills

• Great communication skills are essential, with the ability to take accurate briefs from meetings and respond in a timely turnaround.
• The position requires the designer to liaise with external companies that are supplying/receiving artwork.
• Keeping team members updated on progress of projects.
• Using design time effectively to juggle workloads and incoming briefs.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Gaining a quick knowledge of production specs.
• Ability to archive design work in a logical and methodical manner.
• An outgoing and enthused personality with the drive for success.

The position would suit applicants with a degree-level background and a strong portfolio.

The role will involve 60% typing and 40% administrative support. You will be audio typing lengthy legal documentation as well as being involved with diary management, travel arrangements, co-coordinating meetings and all general administrative support. It is essential that you have experience within the legal sector within either corporate, tax or competition law as you will require this experience to be able to ‘hit the ground running’.
